Payment processing

Two rates, both listed.

Processing is included with Complete. These are the per-transaction rates when a customer pays you through Foodstack.

Bank transfer

ACH

1%capped at $10

Whatever the order is worth, an ACH payment never costs more than ten dollars. Two to three business days to settle.

Card

Credit and debit

2.9%+ 30¢

No cap. Convenient for smaller accounts and worth watching on larger orders. Settles next business day.

Order valuePaid by ACHPaid by card
$97.20$0.97$3.12
$346.00$3.46$10.33
$1,200.00$10.00$35.10
$3,400.00$10.00$98.90

Past $1,000 the ACH cap does the work: on a $3,400 order that’s $10.00 against $98.90. Worth telling your bigger accounts which one you’d rather they used.

What isn’t here

Charges we don’t make.

Stated plainly, because several of these are standard elsewhere.

No setup or onboarding fee

We’ll help you load your products and prices at no charge.

No charge for your buyers

Restaurants, cafes and shops order for free and never see a paywall.

No charge to leave

Export your products, accounts and order history whenever you like. Nothing is held back.

For buyers

If you’re ordering, you pay nothing.

Everything above is what a producer pays to sell on Foodstack. Restaurants, cafes, shops and distributors order for free — there’s no subscription, no per-order fee, and no card needed to look around.

Order from every supplier in one place

One login for all the producers you buy from, with your own pricing, minimums and cut-offs on each.

Reorder in a tap

Last week’s order is pre-filled. Your history stays with you even if you change suppliers.

Questions

Before you sign up.

What’s the actual difference between the two plans?

Standard runs your wholesale: storefront, orders, delivery runs, invoices. Complete adds the sales side — a CRM, automated outreach to prospects — and lets customers pay you inside Foodstack, which means payments reconcile against invoices without you matching them up.

How does annual billing work?

You pay for ten months and get twelve — $1,990 for Standard, $4,990 for Complete, invoiced once at the start of the term. If you’d rather stay flexible, monthly is the same product at the same monthly rate.

Can I move between plans?

Yes, either direction, at the start of any billing month. Nothing you’ve set up is lost by moving down; the sales and payment features simply switch off.

Do I need Complete to get paid?

No. On Standard you send invoices from Foodstack and get paid however you do now — bank transfer, cheque, or your own card terminal — and you can keep invoicing through the tool you already use, QuickBooks being the common one. Complete is for keeping the payment and the order in one place.

What counts as an account?

One business you sell to. A restaurant group with three locations ordering on one invoice is a single account; if each location orders separately, that’s three. Neither plan limits how many you can have.

I’m a restaurant, not a producer. Does any of this apply to me?

No. Ordering is free for buyers, with no subscription and no per-order fee. The producer pays to sell on Foodstack — so the price on your invoice is the price on their list, with nothing added.

Can I keep my own terms?

Yes. Your prices, minimums, delivery days, cut-offs and payment terms are all yours. Foodstack doesn’t set any of them.
